I am new to sailing.I got tired of dreaming about sailing, so I bought me a 26D McGregor's to learn. I work in the music industry as a truck driver touring with top name bands. I work 350 days a year so when I get time off I love to go to my sailboat and escape to find some serenity, and watch the "FIREDANCE" from a campfire.I really enjoy the McGregor 26D it is good for my skill. I love the dagger board. I am getting the feel of the rudder and the way the boat reacts to the slightest movement of the rudder. I got to test a new MacGregor 26 with the wheel. Wheels are better,but for learning I suggest the rudder first. The 8hp moter gets me out of my slip and into open water, then the sail's are easy to manage.The cabin is great for a single man, or a couple. I spend up to a week at a time on that boat, and don't get tired of it.
