My first sailing experiences were as a kid riding on my dad's shared Hobie Cat in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

That was quite a while ago, but last month I got the sailing itch again and took a small boat sailing class at Washington Sailing Marina on the Potomac River.

I hope to get some more time out on the water in dinghies and day sailers, perhaps improving my skills enough to enter a race.

Someday I'd like to own a small cruiser for local river and coastal sailing, and eventually take some bareboat chartering vacations in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and South Pacific.
