We have a cabin in Jackson County Iowa, on a little res lake called "Leisure Lake" (seriously, that's what it's called.)

I sailed in college (yes, we can sail in Iowa) and was rated Heavyweather. Now I'm just addicted to kayaks but still wouldn't mind having a little laser or sunfish to take out on the lake...

We have two kayaks (one is my mom's) and we love to explore our lake and bird watch. there is a great blue heron mom and I like to sneak up on and spy on.

In college I loved to sail and race. I usually just crewed in the races. I liked sailing the scows but enjoyed single person boats. I loved to get my feet under the hiking straps, and sit on the gunwhale and ride the wind for as long as I could on a tack.
