Your right Joe both storms suck. People tell me about how can I handle the blizzards in the winter but I would go through one those any day than a hurricane or tornado

We had one storm here that uprooted all our evergreen trees and blew the roofs off of several buildings about 10 years ago. We went in the basement and could here the house cracking and moving.Since then I cannot sleep during a storm. Scared the shit out of me....

The water is in the 70's in the summer.

I boat on a reservoir its not very wide but the place that you can take your boat on is about 6 miles long after that it has too many shallow spots. I also boat on a 6400 acre lake in Minnesota once in a while. I love the lakes in Minnesota because the water is so clear.

That would be nice to boat year around. I can hardly stand it when we hit January. lol !!!

The summer started out slow, Colder than normal but warmed up nicely in July. I have gotten out quite a bit and am having a blast at the lake. The only sad thing is that its almost over for me. Maybe have a month left of good weather for wakeboarding and kneeboarding and after that it starts to get chilly out. I still manage to get the boat out until the end of October for fishing though. Wish the boating season lasted longer up North.

Tom you can do it your not that old... How has your summer been ?

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works:

Two very hot girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into it. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to another Home Depot. You agree and they get in the backseat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen May 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th & 24th. Also June 1st, 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 24th, three times last Saturday and very likely again this upcoming weekend.

The certification is depending on a friend that wanted to take it with me. He recently had surgery on his neck and we will have to see how it's healed by then. If he can't do it then I will have to wait on the cert.

I talked to a business in Bismarck ND that teaches PADI certification and it will cost me around 300.00 to get certified. I have no idea on the depth that i can go on the certification. Maybe that would be a good question to ask him. :)

Thanks Joe,The kneeboarding and wakeboarding was great. We spent most of our time on the water except for one day that was windy and rainy. Went fishing with my youngest daughter almost every evening and caught a ton of sunfish.

Ken, Especially where you live dehydration occurs much faster. Hot and muggy. I remember when i was in Panama working and we had to drink a canteen of water every 15 minutes. I still was dehydrated and never did go to the bathroom during the day. I drink about a gallon and a half of water a day at work.

Just checking with all of you but i was always told that a stainless steel prop gave you better performance than an aluminum prop. I know you get better acceleration with stainless steel. Isn't the top end speed also faster with stainless than aluminum ?

Up here you see allot of boating commercials and the corona on the Carribbean commercials. I would go totally nuts if I could not get in my boat and go cruising, Or going to a nice bay and anchoring with one of my favorite beverages. The water definitely has a soothing effect on me. Too bad that I cannot enjoy it year around up here...

Sorry the subject was brought up. Did not mean to get under anyones skin. I have personally seen people that should not own a gun due to the fact that they do not know how to operate one. I use mine for hunting only. If anyone wants to hunt up here you have to pass a hunters safety program. It shows you the proper ways to operate a firearm.

I have heard of the rat shot loads but never seen them. Is the shot good for the rifling in the barrel? I agree as far as the revolvers not jamming. I have never seen one jam yet. One good thing about guns is that they keep going up in value as long as you take care of them.

Yes they are. I seen a gp100 stainless with a 4 inch barrel. Nice lookin pistol. My father collects Ruger Revolvers and has around 200 now.

Lol !! Biggest weapon I shot was a .50 cal but that was mounted on top of a HumVee... I use a 300 Remington for deer hunting and an M4 for varmits... Fun gun to shoot. Also have a .44 Super Blackhawk Ruger pistol.
