Hey there - Ken - Key West I would think is a pretty good place to be land-locked! For Geoffrey - yes, loads of places - Indonesia is awesome and of course huge with over 13000 islands! Perhaps only warning would be to heed caution in the New Guinea and Philippines areas, if they are on your itinerary. There's loads and loads of blogs and stuff on sites, including Latitude 38? There's also cruising guides for this region, Gulf of Thailand and Malacca Straits. Enjoy your preparation time - envious of the Pacific trip. Keep me posted. Cheers

Sorry about the downtime yesterday and today. I broke the site for users browsing via Facebook yesterday afternoon while making some changes. I realized it this morning and it should be all fixed now. Let me know if you see more problems getting in via Facebook.

A mobile site isn't on the immediate development schedule, but it's a good idea and something we should look into.

Thanks, Sabin! Let us know if you see any errors that we might have missed in our testing.

We plan to add more modules to the Dashboard page in the future. Anybody have ideas about what we should put on there?

Pictures in the forums are now fixed.

Hi All,

I've put up a few bug fixes. Most noticeable is that our names in the forum now link to our full profiles... and forum posts are now properly recording activity feed items.

I've got a few more on the list that should be done late tonight sometime.

Laurie and Ken, sorry about the confusion... we moved the Founding Member badge to your user profile... it's on the right side underneath the recent activity. We're definitely keeping that badge, so don't worry!

Ken, the new site design is wider... it's about 910 pixels wide, so if you're browsing on a lower resolution monitor (i.e. 800x600), then that would be why you'd have to scroll left-to-right. I'll see if I can do something about the background being dark blue, though. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi all,

We launched the new site design and data structure changes today!

In addition to the obvious visual changes, we've re-organized the data so Photos, Places, and Friends are now on your user profile instead of your boat profile. We're making your user profile the central spot for all your data. This will allow you to add and remove your boats without losing your photos and places.

This new structure is just the beginning... it's designed with lots of cool new features in mind. Over the next couple months, we'll be releasing some new sections. First up is an easier way to explore the site, which will include finding other captains, photos, boats, places, weather, and more.

So what do you think? Better or worse than the old layout?

Sorry, it's not as exciting as being hacked... we just ran out of hard drive space on the server, so everything went crazy. Those video files for the podcast really add up!

Our fearless server admins have everything should be back online now. Let us know if you see any more errors!

You're right... I have a Mini Cooper, just looked through the Mastercraft site and found one I like:

Hey Jim and Boat28,

Based on feedback, we just launched some new features that will help everyone see what's going on around the site (including us). For instance, you should both receive an email alerting you that I posted this reply.

Thanks for participating and please keep the feedback coming!
