the bottom line is the more you use your boat,the more it becomes a extension of you,i will hold back on the jokes, when we got the morgan we felt NEW,i felt NEW,and so did Bev,so we started trying to put the bow on the mooring ball, we learned how the boat reacted in reverse,stopping distance and a crapper load more.then we found a un-occupied slip out on the end,and docked it a bunch.you have to realize Bev & i have always been on racing boat that respond instantly,this little piggy takes a-long-time to respond.anyway we are far more confident every time we go out,and back. cheers J

i priced out a bow thruster for the morgan for similar reasons,however it was going to cost $9000. way too much money,i figure if i dock the boat 100 times,in different winds i should be able to nail it down. still i have to hit the dock @2kts and slam it in reverse in higher cross winds,scares me every time,just waiting to go through someday.

hey ed don't know how big a hook you need ,but, i think @ 10-15ft of chain,attached to the anchor,will help your hook stay-put.(i figure you need @ 15-20lbs anchor)and pick the hook you need for the bottom you anchor in most,and @100-150ft of line......just my 2cents
