Hello everyone! Just wanted to find a website where people share the same love as me! I am 26 years old and live in MN. My first boating memory was when I was probably 3 years old. I lived in the suburbs of Chicago until I was 7, while there my mom's family had a cottage in Michigan. My grandpa had an OLD home made pontoon that I couldn't get enough of. The cottage was eventually sold and we moved to Winona, MN. A little town right on the Mississippi. My memories as a child were biking to the river and fishing ALL day and walking the docks just looking at the boats. When I was 11, my family bought our first pontoon, where we then spent every single weekend boating. By 17 I had 2 jet ski's and had caught my fair share of picture worthy fish :-) At 23 I moved to Rochester, MN. A larger city about 50 miles West of Winona. It had more job oppurtunites, but no lake or river, therefore I ran home to Winona every chance I could just to go out on the river. At 24, I met my now husband. By pure luck his family had a lake home on Big Burch Lake, in central MN. We bought our Larson after we got engaged and now split our weekends between the river in Winona and his family's lake home. When we have the time, we also explore other lakes around MN, such as Lake Minnetonka, etc. It is a grand life :-) My husband works as a State Trooper and I am currently unemployed due to the fact that I was laid off in March and am putting the job hunt on hold as we are expecting our first child this October!!
