I learned to sail over 30 years ago on Hobie Cats then owned '21 swing keel sailboat with 8 hp Honda for 10 years until 2005. Since gas prices were then high enough :), I then made the the move to power with a '28 Bayliner Flybridge with 300 Hp 7.4 litre and 22" prop.

Comparing the two is apples and oranges, and I eat both. Next boat will likely a sailboat again, but you'd be mistaken to assume I am a "sailboater" or "powerboater"
