That would be a great feature! I would love to be able to look into fellow boaters (or my own) places to help plan out future trips. Being able to get this info without having to fire up MacENC would be a plus!

I don't think you can compare the two. They really are two completely different types of boating. While I prefer sailing, I must admit (and I'm sure I'm not alone) that I have relied on my "iron jib" many times! I enjoy getting out in a powerboat once in a while (and, if money allowed, would buy one in addition to my sailboat and fulfill my desire to be Sonny Crockett :)
But as we once again churn the chum bucket that is this debate, let me rattle off some common misconceptions about the two (please feel free to add):
- Sailing is hard work
- Powerboaters are inconsiderate
- Sailors are snooty
- Powerboaters lack nautical knowledge, hence they are not "real" boaters
And remember, while sometimes there is a need to get to your destination in a hurry, many times your journey IS the destination.
