Thanks Stacey, Tom & Ken, all is cleaning up and thanks for the offer Ken, I'd do the same for you!!......just got back from the office from a long day cleaning and throwing out stuff..alot of purell on the hands LOL!!

A restoration and cleaning contractor we had come out said besides the carpet, furniture damage, the bottom 4' of all the drywall is wet and has to be removed, insulation dried out and replaced...and the insurance companies putting Chicago on the same claim level as Houston in damage.. Alot of electric and battery powered tools that were on the bottom warehouse shelves, 3 F250 and F450 trucks totaled, all our PC's, most of the printers are gone...but I did recover all the server data off the backups and 1 out of 3 raid drives, so it's all good with a new server built for tomorrow for acctg and payroll..

Best of all a small snapping turtle was alive in the parking lot!!

Thanks Darrin what a mess around here. We learned early on daily backups are a must..so we use 5 - portable USB hard drives that backup our server M-F, and we take the latest one home one with us..

I can't imagine what it would be like to clean up after a hurricane..

Insurance is always a battle, so we're not doing anything until they show up to see what the damage is...same with the auto insurance for the trucks we lost...more info tomorrow..

Latest news is our office in Itasca is a casualty of Ike and the preceding rain that happened for that past 3 days.. (I did go after the bad news Bear game Tom..LOL). We are next to a newly dug 10? acre retention that was dug out a few years ago to prevent flooding!!

I took a drive to our office and could not even get within 500' of our front doors without a boat or a dink because the main road, golf course and retention pond is flooded through our parking lot at 4-6'...We are having our operations guys surveying early tomorrow if the water has gone down until we can get in to survey the damage to our office and warehouse office..So if we're still under water tomorrow morning, I'm going to West Marine to get an inflatable dink to get to the front doors...

I can't access our server from home, so that must be under water...Damn you Ikenstein!!!...

Clapton is the guitar god...we saw him, & Sheryl, Mayer, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks and a whole bunch of others at the crossroads festival last year in Chicago....what a treat!!

Yeah Ken, a hard wired mouse is more accurate, I use a trackball type for AutoCad and it's the most accurate for me..

Tom, a strange problem I don't want to have...... Ken, maybe the up-down trim switch shifts a spring loaded spool in the hydraulic control, and a normally open relay operates the pump in both positions off another set of contacts on the switch?? My Sea Ray schematic just shows 3 wires from the switch to the pump, plus 24v+ and 24v- then 2 more to the drive..(probably the limit switch). A relay is not shown and intergral in the pump I bet..

Morning David...we had that crazy rain all day yesterday..now it's about 50 degrees....summer has left us for the time being...

Revised...if the relay is chattering, use the trim switch to position the drive in the down position and then deenergize the relay by removing the sensor control wire to the coil (or remove the relay from the relay socket), the stern drive should stay in last position it was before removing the relay from the circuit..

Use the trailer position switch to trim the port stern drive all the way up and motor home on the starboard engine.

Saltwater or short in the engine trim switch or sensor (if the drive is electrically trimming up and down), if it's flopping around loose up and down on it's pivot..the trim ram or connection has broken??.

Ken, I have Comcast too...did you hard reboot/unplug AC your modem and router? Leave them off for 30 sec or so, then plug back in sometimes works for me..I replaced my splitter too one time when I was having trouble with my cable and internet which all come in on one coax RG6.....

Good Morning David...morning everyone.. I was missing in action for the past 24 hours because we're finally grandparents, and have another boater for the water!!

Amanda was 20 hours in labor (ouch), and she had to have a C section because the baby was getting distressed.

Citrus County, Florida -- Officials with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management team are warning residents that live on the coast that they may experience 2-3 foot storm surges Monday morning.

High tide is expected at 5:41 a.m. in King's Bay with a projected 2.3 foot high tide which means that residents can expect a total of 5 feet of water at that time.

Emergency Management Officials will continue to monitor the situation, but do not expect hazardous weather conditions for the Citrus County area

Lake boating is cool too and usually alot of deeper water than where we are boating because of Tampa Bay is only 12' avg.....so come down and all 4 of us will go to Ken's.. We do have the best of both worlds because of we live in the midwest and travel south but alot of pain with double taxes, houses and all..we're trying to get out of the midwest to move down permanently, but the enconomy drives what we will do....
