Wow I am SUCH a slacker! I have not updated my blog at all! So what has 08 brought me thus far? The verdict is in, the money is counted and the boat garage is going up! I made the call to my concrete guy to come pour my 36' x 19' 4000 PSI concrete slab for my new steel boat garage that will go...    See all 4 blog posts...

AC Power

One of the few options the 248 Vista wasn't available with was a Marine Genset. In the future I may install a Westerbeke 3.5KW Genset but it will require a replumb of the fresh water system and relocation of the fresh water tank. At the moment I use a Honda EU2000i portable generator to supply AC power when I am on the hook. I do NOT recommend anyone use a NON marine Genset unless they fully understand the risks involved with using a non marinized unit.

Awesome 248 Vista Video!

This isn't my boat, but I did a search on YouTube and came up with this awesome 248 Vista video, check it out!

Projects

I have a few pending projects that I need to complete over the off season. Most of the projects are pending due to weather. I have a Lewmar V700 Windlass that I need to install and the other major project that I will be working on is the install of PlasDeck sythetic teak in the whole cockpit and the extended swim platform.

Hey Brett!

My public apology: In the recent episode of TheBoaters TV (45), I gave Tomm the credit for starting up the FourWinns Vista Club group, when it was you!

I didn't realize the mistake until the episode was edited and uploaded. Not sure how I managed that one. I think when I was writing the piece, I saw it was your name as the Founder, but then accidentally typed Tomm's name on the script. (That's what I get for writing these things at 4AM sometimes!) We can just chalk that one up to a blonde moment, I guess. ;-)

So sorry about that!

Have to say though that I'm glad you did start up the group...there are so many FourWinns owners here!

Take Care!
